” There were about four days during the filming of season last year when he had to work as much as Michael.In season he had no problem to work five days a week, so I’m excited, “said Lithgow Emmy, according to People magazine.”

The actor blew it up on the stage after he received an Emmy trophy,  he thanked the television network HBO, Showtime network in place to settle, which produced the series “Dexter.”

“I said HBO? He’ll never get rid of it! “Said Lithgow, after he went down the stage.

Season 5 of Dexter will be distributed at Shotime starting with 26 september.

Another episodic appearances in the new season will be:  Julia Stiles, Peter Weller and Johnny Lee Miller.

Earlier today, Katey Rich summed up the positives and negatives with this year’s Emmy nominations. The nominations are par for the course with how these things can go…poorly. There are some clear cut mistakes in the nominations, but for time’s sake I’ll focus on the Outstanding Drama series rather than nitpick my way through the acting categories.

In a clear case of “We picked some deserving shows and then picked the glitzy and entertaining ones to round out the group,” the Emmy nominators took the Outstanding Drama Series category and made some pretty huge mistakes that can make one question how such oversights are possible.

I watched this series and I was pretty stunned when Rita died,so  I make my own predictions about season 5 .Check out my predictions:

I think Debra Morgan his sister will eventually realize Dexter’s biggest secret or maybe he will tell her.If she realize his secret,I have a feeling that she might help Dexter to cover up some of his murders.

I hope Angel and Maria will be happy together in their marriage.From my opinion their relationship is the most stable till now in this show.

I’m glad they put Julia Stiles in the show as a sexy therapist of Dexter.I think Julia also has some skeleton on her closet and is possible that they will have an romantic relationship together this season.

I’m also sure that Dexter didn’t kill Rita because he love her to much,although,Dexter tell us in the trailer that he is the killer but I don’t believe a word of his confession I think the really killer is Trinity.

For those who sat baited breath at the end of Dexter’s Season 4 and stared wide-eyed at Rita sitting a pool of her own blood (thanks to the Trinity killer), you don’t have to wait much longer to see how Dexter’s suddenly uncontrolled world turns upside down. It was a twist of all twists that left the show at a definite crossroads. Is Dexter still a serial killer? Does he become strictly a father now? Does he really go off the rails and just turn into the raving killer he’s always meant to be? The fifth season of the Showtime drama holds many questions.

If you’re sitting on the edge of your seat wanting more Michael C. Hall, the waiting is almost over. Season 5 begins this fall and the trailer for the new season has hit the web. Unlike other seasons, this one picks up directly where the last one left off with police responding the Morgan household and Dexter proclaiming, “I did it.”

This season looks like the exploration of Dexter as a sum of all his parts (rather than separate parts of an equation). Detective Quinn thinks, with good reason, Dexter is guilty of murder. Dex is left with Rita’s kids who hold him responsible for their mother’s death. And his alias of Kyle Butler is a wanted man. The Emmy-nominated drama enters into unexplored grounds with Dexter as the hunted rather than the hunter.

As the noose tightens, Arthur warns Dexter to back off. But Dexter will do anything to stop Trinity from eluding him, even if that means putting himself on the wrong side of the law. Debra unearths a deeply-hidden truth, but not one she expected to find. With Debra recovering in the hospital, Dexter re-doubles his efforts to locate the Trinity Killer. Knowing that he is following the same pattern as his murders from 30 years ago, Dexter is sure he knows where he will strike next. Afterward, he follows the serial killer to his home and is shocked by what he finds. Dexter also has some explaining to do when Rita finds out that he never gave up his apartment and still keeps some of his possessions there. Sgt. Batista plants a news item about the suspected Vacation Murderer that bears fruit. Having told her superiors of her relationship with Batista, the Deputy Chief delivers some bad news to Laguerta.

With Rita away with the kids away attending a cousin’s wedding, Dexter finally has the freedom to find another victim. He focuses on Zoey Kruger, a police officer whose husband and child were killed in a house invasion. The blood evidence suggests that she may have actually planted evidence to incriminate a known thief and was in fact responsible herself for the killing. She hears of Dexter’s investigation and warns him off in no uncertain terms, but he decides to go ahead anyway. Debra is spending more and more time with ex-Agent Frank Lundy and helping in his pursuit of the Trinity killer. Her boyfriend Anton has noticed but she assures him he has nothing to worry about. Unexpected events forces Debra to re-evaluate her relationships. The Trinity Killer realizes that Lundy may be on to him. Det. Quinn is still sleeping with reporter Christine Hill but she may have stepped over the line with her latest story. Laguerta and Angel Batista argue whether they should inform their superiors of their relationship.

Dexter is facing some marriage and parenting challenges. Rita is mothering him somewhat after the accident and is not allowing him to drive, as per the doctor’s orders. Step-daughter Astor is growing up and everything Dexter does seems to be the wrong thing. The neighborhood watch committee goes into action when someone vandalizes property. Dexter soon has a bead on the likely culprit and decides to put his own skills to work. The Trinity Killer strikes again but Debra and ex-Agent Lundy are the only ones who seem to think the death is part of the serial killer’s work. Spending a lot of time with Lundy may not be good for her relationship Anton, however. Still worried about what Dexter saw, Joey Quinn continues to try and make nice. He’s also still feeding information to the journalist he’s sleeping with.

Dexter wakes up in his totaled car and quickly remembers: Benny Gomez. The guy he killed. The guy whose body parts he has not gotten rid of. The paramedics whisk him away against his will; but soon Dexter is out of the hospital (against the doctor’s orders) and out looking for the body parts. They aren’t in the car. They aren’t at the crash site. He must have stashed them somewhere until he could find them later. Unfortunately, his lack of sleep has deprived him of a key memory. Where did he put the body parts? A vision of Harry tries to help him remember, but work pulls him away from his urgent search. The department is trying to catch the Vacation Killer, who has just struck a second time. Meanwhile, the Trinity Killer is still on the loose, and Lundy joins Debra as she interrogates her prime suspect.

Dexter seems to have it all: he and Rita are happily married and now have a baby boy. Life is not simple however and Dexter’s long nights with crying baby Harrison leads him to make a serious error in court leading to the release of a violent killer. He’s surprised when former FBI Agent Frank Lundy, now retired, drops in and tells him about the Trinity Killer, a serial murderer who Lundy thinks has been killing women for 15 years. Dexter has been working on a case with the same pattern – a young woman is found in her own bath having bled to death when her femoral artery was cut. Only he finds evidence of a very similar killing that took place in the same house 30 years ago. Meanwhile, Debra is still in a relationship with Anton but Lundy’s return has shaken her somewhat. She is also still pursuing her father’s former confidential informants to see if he had an affair with any of them. Lt. Laguerta and Sgt. Batista spend some time together.

The orphan (Dexter Morgan)  is raised by Harry Morgan detective of the Miami Police Departement, who discovers that his foster son has the urge to kill. Harry teach him the impulse to kill bad people, he is learning him how to operate without leaving any trace at any crime. After Harry dies, Dexter is hired in the forensic department of the Miami Police Department, where his step sister, Debra Morgan, works in the Vice and Narcotics Unit. During his free nights, Dexter leads a double-life, chasing and killing murderers and collecting samples of their blood, or dating Rita Bennett. After he execute an pedophile and an rapist (who have killed their victims), Dexter investigates an intriguing serial killer that drains the blood and freezes the severed bodies of his victims.

After three critically acclaimed seasons, the dark Showtime series about that lovable serial killer will return in September.  Dexter season 4 will premiere September 27 and is currently filming.In an interview with Jonathan Ross in his BBC show in the UK, star Michael C. Hall, who plays the titular character on the show reiterates that they’ve been signed for two more seasons, each with 12 episodes.  Meanwhile, Dexter executive producer Sara Colleton tells Vanity Fair that in February and March, they “spend just coming up with the idea for the season, what its themes will be, what aspects of humanity we want Dexter to butt up against, and what we want to do with the secondary characters.”

Lila uses Dexter’s GPS device to track down where he’s been recently and makes a shocking discovery: a remote cabin in the Everglades with Doakes trapped in a cage. Not long after, Dexter discovers that all his troubles have gone up in a propane gas explosion. The seeming miracle proves to have a corporeal cause: Lila. And she isn’t through making every desperate effort to win Dexter back – or rather, force him back. Meanwhile, Agent Lundy gets called away to a new case, which means his relationship with Debra is over, unless they are both willing to have a long-distance relationship. Maria mourns a good friend. Rita comes home to find her children missing.

Dexter continues to brood over the realization that even his father couldn’t accept the code of ethics he had developed and seriously considers putting it all to an end. Doakes manages to escape from his cell but the people he ends up with are no improvement on Dexter. In an attempt to get the upper hand on Dexter, Lila accuses Angel Batista of rape and he is relieved of his duties. Debra does a little digging and learns that Lila is in the US illegally. With little progress in the Butcher case, the FBI assigns a Deputy Director to take over the case thereby pushing Agent Lundy off to the side.

With Doakes safely locked away, Dexter has to determine his next move. Dexter learns a bitter truth after Doakes’ comment leads him to look more deeply into his father’s death. The FBI continues its search for Doakes but Lt. Laguerta doesn’t believe a word of it and tries to find evidence proving his innocence. Rita decides that she wants Dexter to be part of her life. Det. Batista continues his fling with Lila but she obviously has something up her sleeve. Debra comes to the realization that with the investigation apparently coming to an end, Special Agent Lundy will leave Miami.

Dexter apologizes to Rita and admits to her that Lila was one of the biggest mistakes of his life. Lila on the other hand isn’t quite as ready to give him up and shows up at the station hinting that she may have a few things to share with Dexter’s colleagues. Under constant FBI surveillance, Dexter can’t get rid of his last victim’s remains. With the evidence he’s acquired at Dexter’s apartment, Sgt. Doakes seeks the help of an old friend in confirming its value. When Dexter realizes his slides are missing, he thinks the jig is up but Lundy and his FBI colleagues don’t quite have it right. Special Agent Lundy and Debra spend the night together.

With both Lila and Debra staying at his apartment Morgan finds himself living with, in his own words, a cobra and a mongoose. Rita tells Dexter that he’s no longer welcome to just drop in, even if it’s just to see the kids. Having decided that the Bay Harbor Butcher has experience in law enforcement, Special Agent Lundy informs the local officers that all of their old cases will be re-examined. Dexter is on the defensive and Lundy almost catches him out over one of his cases. As Dexter helps Lila clean up her loft after the fire, he realizes that something is wrong with her story as to how the fire started. He also comes to realize how dangerous her obsessive behavior can be. Dexter has a close call when his mother’s killer decides to pay him a visit so Dexter decides to do what he should have done the first time they met. Sgt. Doakes, suspended for assaulting Dexter, breaks into his apartment looking for evidence.

The police think they have a break in the case when the Bay Harbor Butcher sends a 32 page manifesto to a local newspaper. Only thing is Dexter had a very specific purpose in doing what he did, as the police now go off into every direction imaginable. With Sgt. Doakes having set his sights on him yet again, Dexter realizes that he’s going to have to play hardball to protect himself and so takes him head on. Rita comes to the end of her tether with her domineering mother. Lila sells a sculpture for a tidy sum and she and Dexter have a romantic dinner out. When Dexter tells her that he is going to a school event for Rita’s son, she takes drastic action to get his attention.

Since learning that his mother was actually a police informant working for his stepfather, Dexter has been questioning his step-dad’s motivation in taking him in. Rita’s scheming mother suggests that Dexter’s NA sponsor, Lila come to dinner. It all goes well but when Rita later learns that Lila accompanied Dexter on his recent road trip, she announces she never wants to see him again. Dexter and Lila find a new way to relieve Dexter’s compulsive urges.

At Lila’s urging and as part of his ‘recovery’, Dexter agrees to face his past. He learns that one of the three men who killed his mother in the shipping container is still alive and owns a tavern in Naples, Fla. With Lila in tow, Dexter sets out to confront the man who has, as he says, taken his life away. Deborah is still seeing Gabriel, but blows up at him when she sneaks a peek at his e-mail. Rita’s mother Gail tells Dexter he should leave, but when Rita hears of it, she tells her mother that it is she who will be leaving. Gail has other ideas. The police investigation continues, and the Bay Harbor Butcher’s marina is narrowed down to three possible sites. Dexter decides to give his boat a thorough cleaning, but doesn’t realize he’s being watched.

Dexter is worried when Masuka, of all people, makes a major break in the Bay Harbor Butcher case. A marine biologist is called in to examine his evidence. What he doesn’t realize is that Rita is jealous of the beautiful, if odd, artist. Meanwhile, Debra picks up a man at the gym, but finds it’s more comfortable to have sex after she handcuffs the guy to her bed. Rita is nervous when her mother comes to visit after a long estrangement. Sgt. Doakes takes a personal interest in a murder case, involving a fellow Ranger. Angel gets frustrated with a witness. Esme has a meltdown at the station, leading Captain Matthews to believe he has made a mistake.

Having lied to Rita to cover up what he really did to her late husband, Dexter now finds himself attending Narcotics Anonymous classes. He finds the exercise quite difficult and is afraid everyone will see through him. Rita however makes it quite clear that their relationship is entirely dependent on his continued participation in NA. She doesn’t react too well though when she sees Dexter’s sponsor, the very attractive Lila. Sgt. Doakes follows Dexter to an NA meeting, but surprises him with his reaction. Meanwhile, Debra is assigned to the joint task force with the FBI but is having difficulty dealing with the people and the desperation to find their loved ones. She does however uncover a pattern to the murders. Dexter identifies a serial killer and decides he has to take action, despite the scrutiny of the police and the FBI.

Dexter’s failure to dispose of Little Chino results in the tragic death of a witness against him. He’s determined to get it right the next time, but Sgt. Doakes is still following him in his off hours. With the discovery of Dexter’s burial ground, a special joint task force with the FBI is established. Doakes hopes to join but is rebuffed. Debra Morgan clearly has not recovered fully from her ordeal with the Ice Truck Killer but her use of excessive force results in a major drug bust. Rita is having trouble coming to grips with the death of her husband and she now realizes that Dexter set him up. In order to explain however, Dexter embellishes his story somewhat.

Maria, still chafing at her demotion, witnesses a scene between her new superior, Lt. Esme Pascal, and her cheating fiancé. Debra finds it very difficult to recover from her ordeal with the Ice Truck killer. Angel takes up an Oprah-promoted philosophy. The hulking gangster, Chino, proves himself a worthy victim for Dexter.

With Miguel Prado now out of the way, Dexter thinks all he has to worry about is his wedding. Life isn’t so simple however. Ramon Prado, who had been acting as Miguel’s bodyguard, is now out to get Dexter. So is the Skinner, though Dexter doesn’t quite realize it until he’s taken prisoner. Debra is told by Angel Batista that he has recommended her for her detective’s shield. That is until he learns that she spent the night with Anton when everyone thought he was a confidential informant. Dexter learns that Rita has been married twice before, her first marriage when she was only 16 followed by a divorce six months later.

Lt. Laguerta begins to suspect that Miguel Prado may be Ellen Wolf’s killer. She invites him for dinner and checks his car for forensic evidence but he catches on to what she is doing. Dexter starts working on his plan to kill Miguel and frame the Skinner for the crime. Debra has been avoiding Anton and Dexter tells her about their father, who also had an affair with a confidential informant. She does get a lead on the Skinner’s whereabouts, but her partner gets injured in the process of trying to arrest him.

Knowing that Miguel took murder victim Ellen Wolf’s ring as a memento of his kill, Dexter gets into Prado’s house and gets hold of it. Their relationship reaches a breaking point when Rita tells Miguel’s wife that her husband is having an affair with Lt. Laguerta. Miguel Prado tells the Skinner that only Dexter knows Freebo’s whereabouts.

After sharing his innermost secrets with Miguel Prado and allowing him to participate in a kill, Dexter is not pleased to learn that Miguel may have gone out on his own and killed someone. The Skinner has kidnapped Debra’s lover Anton and the police are now quite sure they know who he is. He proves to be an astute suspect and the one witness they do have won’t say a word.

Angel is forced to cancel a dinner engagement with Barbara. Rita’s nerves become ever more frayed as the wedding approaches.

It’s the second time one of Debra’s witnesses has been killed and she’s wondering if someone may be following her investigation. She thinks she knows who that might be. Debra is again approached by Internal Affairs who threaten her to get some cooperation.

Meanwhile, Miguel Prado tells Dexter about Ethan Turner, a man who seems to marry for money and then conveniently disposes of his new bride. Prado has been unable to nail him. Dexter researches the case and decides that Turner will be his next victim. Only problem is that while he is taking care of him, Rita has to be hospitalized. When Miguel learns that Turner is missing, he puts two and two together and asks Dexter point blank if he killed him. The squad is less than thrilled when the volatile Ramon Prado is assigned by the Sheriff’s Department to liaise with Miami Metro on a murder case that he thinks is related to his brother’s case.

Miguel Prado suggests to Dexter that they tell him the truth about killing Freebo, but Dexter sets out to show him that the ill-tempered Ramon can’t be trusted. Elsewhere, Angel and the squad investigates the murder of man who is discovered by his fiancée. Also, Debra Morgan doesn’t appreciate her partner, Quinn’s approach to the case. All the while, she continues to receive text messages from Yuki from Internal Affairs asking for her help in their investigation. Angel Batista is almost caught in a police sting operation when he picks up what he thinks is a prostitute. Also, Masuka can’t interest anyone to attend a conference speech he will be giving.

With Freebo now out of the way, Dexter finds himself trying to re-direct the police investigation into Teegan’s death. When a second murder victim appears, Dexter and ADA Miguel Prado both know it couldn’t have been Freebo and Prado begins to wonder if Dexter really killed him. Debra arrests the confidential informant she has been using in her investigation. Dexter is still having trouble coming to grips with the possibility of fatherhood but Debra has some good advice for him. Dexter becomes very protective of Astor when a man talks to her in the grocery store.

Prado isn’t satisfied with the police investigation and is using telephone records to try and trace the man. Rita’s pregnancy in confirmed and she and Dexter have to decide on the next steps. He has visions of producing someone like himself.

Life is good for Dexter. His relationship with Rita is going really well and he’s thrilled when Cody asks him if he would come to his school on Dad’s day. He’s also disposing of certain individuals according to his father Harry’s code of conduct. He chooses his next victim, a drug dealer known as Freebo but on the night in question finds that a stranger is in the house. Dexter is attacked and kills the man who turns out to be Oscar Prado, the younger brother of a highly respected Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado. Dexter can’t quite figure out what Oscar was doing in the house and is bothered by the fact that he has killed someone outside of Harry’s code. Dexter’s sister Debra is put in charge of the Prado case by newly promoted Sgt. Angel Batista but her big mouth gets her into trouble. She is also approached by an officer from Internal Affairs who have an interest in a new squad member, Joey Quinn, but she refuses to cooperate.
